At my vintage clothing store I’ve got numerous fantastic pieces that speak to the boldness of the past fashion trends and also the items I seek and have collected throughout my years. Vintage clothing isn’t just an accessory to add to your wardrobe; it’s an aesthetic to add to your life. It is an investment that will grow in value. Bold Vintage Fashion Trends

We have a vast collection of items - from Chanel statement pieces to paper thin Harley Davidson T-Shirts. During our photo shoots we focus on being bold, different and making a statement. The locations of our photos shoots play to the bold statement we try to make. You will find that our items represented in the photo shoots range tremendously in style individually, but collectively create a dynamic look, sexy and strong, cutting edge yet timeworn.

Our focus is always to create a style using vintage clothes that expresses who we are. 

The Vintage items that we feature on our website have been collected over time from various sources and numerous countries. We have numerous vintage Chanel items, including handbags, jewelry and clothing. Chanel has become an iconic label known for their timeless styles which highlight class, elegance and luxury at its finest! Many trends come and go with time but vintage accessories will never lose their allure. A true sign of strength in any business is knowing how to create trends rather than follow them! It's easy for us because by working with Vintage inspired Fashion Trends you never fall behind on any new or upcoming styles out there! New trends can easily be incorporated into your existing designs making each season one of creative expression through vintage wear.

We have always had a passion and love for vintage Harley Davidson t-shirts and bandanas. Harley Davidson is an iconic brand known to be edgy, bold and strong. Their designs speak loudly as they leave little room for confusion as to what they represent! Every item has its story written with time, giving it character which simply cannot be replaced or reproduced even by designer pieces alone! So show your true colors, make a statement through your Vintage Fashion collection. Our favorite is combining luxury with trashy but classy making a bold statement that you are elegant enough to wear Chanel but bold enough to rock a thrashed Harley tee. 

Photo Shoots sometimes require the weirdest locations

Our photoshoots can be adventurous because we typically don't know the exact location until we find it. We have done photo shoots throughout the United States but there have been some weird locations and looking back at it, dangerous locations. There are two that standout; some of the photos are in the gallery above. 

The first took place in a motel in the middle of nowhere outside of Tuscon, AZ. We were looking for a specific look - essentially a motel that looked outdated with the hopes that the inside of the rooms were even more outdated. The motel we found was that and some. It looked like one of those motels where scary films were based off of. I did not feel safe there but just go along with it. As you can see from photos we did get the photo shoot done and the photos did turn out great. As a group of ladies we decided it was time to leave when the same older guy kept walking by, staring through the windows (which had those see through blinds) and saying things we could not really understand. We packed up and got the hell out of there. But the photo shoot was amazing. Check out the image of one of the models standing on the yellow twin size bed. That was one of my favorites from the shoot. 

The other photo shoot location that really sticks out to me was outside of Austin, Texas. We were in a town maybe 30 - 40 minutes outside of Austin. The town was creepy but we were able to get the owner of a building to let us shoot some photos on top of his office building roof. There were a lot of warnings from our driver and also from friends in Austin about going into that area. As you can see by some of these images one shot has one of my models standing right on the roof under random porch cover - which looked extremely out of place. After seeing how they turned out it definitely makes for an interesting set especially because while exiting the building we found the dirt pile where we got one of my favorite shots of one of the models, digging with the shovel rocking vintage everything from top to bottom!

Importance of finding items which are actually vintage

Quickly we want to stress the importance that when you are shopping for vintage items that you know there are numerous fakes out there. People make their living creating fake vintage pieces with the intention of making you spend a lot of money for something that is not real. It is important that buy from reputable stores that sell truly vintage, not fake items. 

You can research what to look for when choosing certain vintage items, there are certain key signs that give away the fake items. Soon I will be posting a blog that will cover everything you need to look for and if you ever are unsure, feel free to email me directly and I can assist you.

Everything that you see in our photo gallery is inventory from our shop, Cat Apolinar Vintage and can be purchased if it is still in stock. If there is something specific you would like to see please contact us at any time and we will try to provide your request as soon as possible. When searching for vintage clothing or accessories you should look for items made before 1990 but don’t let that stop you from purchasing a piece even though its date doesn’t fall into your preferred range. Buy what you fall in love with! There are always those pieces you see and just have to have - I bet if you go through our shop you will see one or two of them.
